Windows System Engineer

Expedient is looking for a qualified Microsoft Windows Systems Engineer to work as part of a team of five Microsoft System Professionals responsible for maintenance, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of all Windows 2000 & 2003 systems, as well as associated applications and services. The team is accountable for over 100 Windows servers in a 24x7 data center environment servicing both customers and internal clients.

PRIMIARY FUNCTIONS

Configure and administer Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 servers in production and development environments.
Adhering to industry best-practices, support and maintain Active Directory, Exchange 2003, MS SQL Server 2000, IIS 6, Terminal Services, and various other applications and services.
Interface with customers and vendors to isolate and resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate documentation as it relates to the current system configurations.
Collaborate with the Sales organization to make certain customer needs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of Windows 2000/2003 server management experience
Advanced hands-on experience administering Active Directory, Exchange and Terminal Services
Understanding of relational database systems, with specific emphasis on MS SQL Server
Securing Windows Application services in Corporate Enterprise and ASP environments
Experience evaluating and recommending solutions to complex technical problems and requirements
Ability to handle 24x7 on-call rotation 1 week per month
