Executive Team
Shawn M. McGorry
President and Chief Operating Officer
Over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications/Technology industry.
Before joining Expedient in December of 2003 he spent 7 years as Vice
President and COO of Stargate.net, Inc. Mr. McGorry helped build Stargate
from 15 employees and an annual revenue run of less than $1 Million
dollars, to a peak of 400 employees and an annual revenue run rate
of nearly $40 Million in less than 5 years. Stargate earned dozens
of industry accolades, including recognition as one of the nation's
top 20 Internet Service Providers and the nation's fastest growing
Inner City Company, by INC Magazine.
Prior to entering the Internet industry, Mr. McGorry spent 16 years with TeleCommunications Inc. (TCI), (which became AT&T Broadband in 1999 and then sold to Comcast Communications in 2002). During his cable industry tenure, Mr. McGorry held many positions including General Manager for TCI of Western Pennsylvania, TCI’s largest single operating unit and at that time, the nation’s largest consolidated cable television system. In 1996, he was honored as “System Operator of the Year,” by the Pennsylvania Cable and Telecommunications Association. He is a 1980 Graduate of Clarion State University with a B.S. in Business Marketing/Management. He also has an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis on Finance.
Bryan K. Smith
Vice President, Sales
Over 10 years successfully leading the development and marketing of
new products in the telecom industry. Before joining Expedient Mr.
Smith was a Product Manager for PageNet and Arch Wireless where he
helped roll out multiple new product lines at the very inception of
2Way messaging industry; establishing some of their largest customers,
including: KeyCorp, Progressive Insurance and Marconi. Bryan joined
Expedient in early 2002 as a Carrier Consultant and moved into the
VP role after a proven track record of success. Bryan holds a bachelor’s
degree in Business Marketing from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea,
OH.
Kenneth L. Hill
Chief Technical Officer
Over 25 years background in voice and data operations, network engineering
and information technology. Before joining Expedient, Mr. Hill was
Senior VP of Operations with Stargate. Prior to joining Stargate Mr.
Hill was associated with RSL COM as Executive Director of U.S. Operations.
His experience includes employment with Westinghouse Electric Corporation,
Fujitsu Business Communications Systems and GTE. Mr. Hill holds a
bachelor's degree in professional studies and an associate's degree
in business management from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Jonathan H. Rosenson
Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Over 13 years experience leading customer service, project management
and product management initiatives in the telecommunications industry.
At Expedient, Mr. Rosenson acts as a single point of contact to ensure
an aligned team effort in the planning and successful deployment of
new products and business processes. Prior to Expedient, Mr. Rosenson
was a founding employee and director at Stargate where he had similar
responsibilities including the operational integration activities
associated with ten (10) companies post-acquisition. Mr. Rosenson
earned a bachelor of the arts in Rhetorical Criticism from the University
of Pittsburgh. He is a board member of the Marcus L. Ruscitto Charitable
Foundation and the Central Scholarship and Loan Referral Service.
He is also a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh's Leadership Development
Initiative VII. In 2001, he was voted one of the 40 under 40 as featured
in Pittsburgh Magazine for his professional and philanthropic contributions
to the community.
