Shawn M. McGorry
President and Chief Operating Officer
Over 27 years of experience in the Telecommunications/Technology industry. Before joining Expedient in December of 2003 he spent 7 years as Vice President and COO of Stargate.net, Inc. Mr. McGorry helped build Stargate from start up phase to one of the nation's Top 20 Commercial Internet Service Providers in less than 5 years. Stargate earned dozens of industry accolades, including recognition as the nation's fastest growing Inner City Company, by INC Magazine.
Prior to entering the Internet industry, Mr. McGorry spent 16 years with TeleCommunications Inc. (TCI), (which became AT&T Broadband in 1999 and then sold to Comcast Communications in 2002). During his cable industry tenure, Mr. McGorry held many positions including General Manager for TCI of Western Pennsylvania, TCI's largest single operating unit and at that time, the nation's largest consolidated cable television system. In 1996, he was honored as “System Operator of the Year,” by the Pennsylvania Cable and Telecommunications Association. He is a 1980 Graduate of Clarion State University with a B.S. in Business Marketing/Management. He also has an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis on Finance.
Bryan K. Smith
Vice President Business Development and Marketing
Bryan Smith brings over 13 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Technology industries to his role as Vice President of Expedient Data Centers and General Manager of the Central Ohio market. He oversees the day-to-day operations and P&L management for the central Ohio market along with responsibilities for strategic growth planning and business development for the other Expedient's other markets. Smith was one of the initial employees of Expedient in 2001 and has been instrumental in identifying expansion/acquisition opportunities within the Pittsburgh, Boston and Columbus markets. Expedient has grown dramatically during the time he has been involved; from the initial start as a fixed-wireless ISP to a leading data center and managed services provider. Before joining Expedient he served as a Senior Business Development Manager for PageNet where he helped his markets exceed their revenue goals for over 5 years. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Baldwin Wallace College.
Kenneth L. Hill
Chief Technology Officer
Over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Information Technology industry to his position as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Hill has demonstrated throughout his career the ability to manage a broad spectrum of technical environments. Before joining Expedient, Mr. Hill was Senior VP of Operations with Stargate, a regional Internet service provider that was successfully grown to 400 employees. Prior to joining Stargate, Mr. Hill was the Executive Director of U.S. Operations for RSL Com, a global provider of voice and data services. His experience includes employment with Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he received the General Manager's Award, which is earned by less than one percent of all employees within the corporation. Mr. Hill also spent several years with Fujitsu Business Communications Systems and General Telephone and Electronics (GTE). Mr. Hill holds a bachelor's degree in professional studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Jonathan H. Rosenson
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
More than 15 years experience leading customer service, project management and product management initiatives in the telecommunications and IT industries. Mr. Rosenson is responsible for service delivery, customer service, and telecommunication provisioning at Expedient. He also acts as a single point of contact to ensure an aligned team effort in the planning and successful deployment of new products and business processes. Prior to Expedient, Mr. Rosenson was a founding employee and director at Stargate where he had similar responsibilities including the operational integration activities associated with ten (10) companies post-acquisition. Mr. Rosenson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in rhetorical criticism from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a board member of the Marcus L. Ruscitto Charitable Foundation and the Central Scholarship and Loan Referral Service. He is also a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh's Leadership Development Initiative VII. In 2001, he was voted one of the 40 under 40 as featured in Pittsburgh Magazine for his professional and philanthropic contributions to the community.
Alex Rodriguez
Vice President of Systems Engineering and Product Development
Over 14 years in Information Systems, Information Technology and Telecommunications experience working for Managed & Internet Service Providers. Mr. Rodriguez joined Expedient in December of 2003 establishing and expanding on the core Managed Services business in his capacity as the Director of Systems Engineering, assuming the Vice President role in 2009. Prior experience includes 4 years and several leadership positions at Stargate.net, Inc, and work in telecommunication architecture and infrastructure roles for several regional ISPs/CLECs in the Boston metro area.
